Biography

A musical group founded in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1972, with more than 20 albums, several music videos, and literary material. It has been one of the most influential ministries in the development of contemporary Spanish-language Christian music, distinguished by the unique style, the sound of its guitars, and the theologically saturated lyrics of its songs.

In its beginnings it was a duo made up of Álvaro Gómez and Eduardo Silva, with whom after their success in Colombia they decided to move to Venezuela, from where they projected themselves to different Central American countries, achieving great popularity and conquering audiences in Mexico and the United States. Later in 1996 (long after their separation) Álvaro Gómez Jr. joined, giving continuity to his musical and ministerial career, bringing some positive variants to its development, causing a relevant relaunch with the album "Yo Vi Su Gloria" which included the single "Siento que te Amo" and later in 2002 with the commemorative album "30 Años" which once again positioned their music on the most important radio stations in Latin America and the United States, including collaborations with other prominent artists such as Kristy Motta, Hermanos Reyes, Leonel Tuchez and Juan Carlos Alvarado. This audiovisual was broadcast on the Enlace Internacional network and its distribution reached very high levels of popularity throughout Latin America. Their work has been tireless over the years, bringing their music to the public through various media outlets and performing in numerous countries in concerts and various evangelical and musical activities. They have received various recognitions throughout their career, such as a nomination for the Arpa Awards, a Vision Music Award, the honor of the Generals of God (Apostolic Council of Houston), the "Chaplains" distinction from the PNC (National Civil Police of Guatemala), a "Silver" award from the social network YouTube for reaching more than one hundred thousand subscribers, among others. They have collaborated with various artists, including Julio Melgar, Bani Muñoz, and Víctor Hernández. Their music has transcended generations, becoming a benchmark in duo and guitar music, evolving into new genres, but distinguished by their unique style. Currently, they reside in Guatemala and develop other types of projects such as the program "Familia Activa," which is broadcast on the internet channel Franchs TV, their YouTube channel, and through different social networks. These programs reflect their relevance and empathy with the public, even the youngest ones, making them relatively very popular in this field.
